Brittany Bell is a 26 year-old mom with a daughter who’s set to start kindergarten in the fall. A student herself, Brittany works part-time at a pharmacy. “You can say I count pills to pay the bills,” she says.

What are you saving for with Qapital?
I am saving for many things such as an emergency fund, for travel, for a new washer – the list goes on!
How did you discover Qapital and why did you decide to sign up?
One day I was just fed up by the way my financial life was going. I fell into the trap of payday loans and using credit cards to get by. Living not even paycheck to paycheck because my checks were already spent before I got them!
I searched in the App Store for fun ways to save because I was so tired and disgusted with myself. Qapital popped up front and center when I searched and had great reviews! It was just what I was looking for.
What was saving money like for you before using the app?
Non-existent for the most part. As far as trying to save I tried and tried but just could never stick to it. I was in so much debt. After a while I would just avoid the guilt and quit saving altogether. Qapital changed that though!
How do you use Rules to save? What’s your strategy?
My favorite savings rule is the Roundup Rule to save my spare change. With every swipe, although I’m spending money, I am still saving a small portion each time towards my future Goals. This is what makes it fun and life changing. I’m also doing the 52 week challenge which I love, and the IFTTT app integration is great as well, I save a dollar towards the beach every time it rains – I love it!
What’s your favorite thing about saving money with the app?
Qapital makes it fun and it’s automatic! I don’t have to remember to transfer anything and most important I can see my Goals now, which makes it hard to even want to spend money on anything else!

How do you see your financial future now?
My financial future is a bright one now. I have managed to stop using payday loans and I am now working on becoming debt free all together! With Qapital I know I will finish my Goals and I am just so happy to have found something that really works for me!
